Andrea Bocchio (United States)
Brooklyn-based Peruvian designer Andrea Bocchio makes bold, dynamic jewelry by merging traditional knitting and crocheting with unique, edgy accents and materials. Handpicked textiles, leathers and yarns from Peru are the basis of her cohesive collection in which every line, every piece wows with a strong element of surprise. Bocchio’s appreciation for the handmade comes from her knitter mother and grandmother, and was further honed at the Maryland Institute College of Art and at Central Saint Martins. She lives and works in Brooklyn with her five-year-old Havanese, Butters.
